TERRE BONNE PARISH, situated in the south part of Louisiana, on the gulf of Mexico. Area, 1,850 square miles. Face of the country, level; soil, good, where arable. Seat of justice, Houma. Pop. in 1830, 2,121; in 1840, 4,410; in 1850, 7,724.
