McCRACKEN COUNTY, situated on the northwesterly boundary of Kentucky, with Ohio river on the north, and the Tennessee river on the northeast. Area, 200 square miles. Seat of justice, Paducah. Pop. in 1830 1,297; in 1840, 4,745; in 1850, 6,067.
