Western view of Baton Rouge - the view shows the appearance of Baton Rouge, as seen from the levee on the opposite bank of the Mississippi, about a mile distant. The Deaf, Dumb and Blind Asylum is seen on the extreme right; the State Capitol is the next prominent building to the left.
